Cost Effective Fan & Finger Protection
Plastic fan guards should be used when installing axial compact fans or frame fans to prevent accidental contact with fingers by creating a barrier between the impeller and the person. In addition, frame fan guards protect the component blades from damage.
They are designed to protect moving parts according to EN ISO 12100 and EN ISO 13857 standards.
Axair's range of plastic fan guards are made from high quality self extinguishing ABS/PC alloy, according to standard Ul 94V-0. They are available in the standard black colour Ral 9005 and finished in nickel - chrome plated.
An ingress protection of rating IP20 is achieved, meaning that the guard protects the fan against solid objects greater than 12.5mm.
The finger guards are designed to fit with all standard EC, AC, DC or ATEX axial fan sizes listed below.

The guards are also available with G3 filter media included which increases protection to IP30. These plastic filter guards are a very budget friendly alternative to fan filter units or panel fans which offer superior ingress protection up to IP56.
